Are children welcome?
Answer
Children of all ages are welcome. We do not provide cribs, however. We suggest families with children use our family suite, located at the southern end of the second floor. Two rooms adjoin and share one bath. Our dog, Piper, loves to play with children!

What time may guests arrive and when should they depart?
Answer
We ask that our guests arrive between 6:00 and 9:00 PM. If you have prepaid reservations we will accommodate your schedule as best as possible. Just let us know what time to expect you. Check out time is at 11:00 AM.

Do you take credit cards or bank cards?
Answer
Yes, we accept Visa and Mastercard, as well as bank cards using these same credit card companies. We also accept Discover and American Express.

Is Advanced deposit required?
Answer
Yes. Deposits equal half of the amount of your stay.

Are there cancellation fees?
Answer
Cancellation policy for weekdays:
You will receive a full refund, minus a $15 service fee, if you cancel more than 14 days prior to your arrival. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to your arrival, you will receive 50% of your deposit back. There is no refund with less than 48 hours notice.

For Penn State Football and Graduation Weekends:
You will be charged a $15 service fee if you cancel more than one month prior to your arrival. If you cancel less than one month prior to your arrival, you will be charged for one night's stay. You will be charged for both nights if you cancel 48 hours or less from your scheduled stay.

Cancellation policy for other weekends:
You will be charged a $15 service fee if you cancel more than 14 days prior to your arrival. If you cancel less than 14 days prior to your arrival you will be charged for one night's stay. If you cancel 48 hours or less from your stay you will be charged for both nights. Should this happen, we will apply half of this sum toward a future stay with us if taken within one year of the date.

Can we stay just one night on weekends?
Answer
One night stays are fine, on any night other than the major event weekends: Penn State home football games, Penn State graduation, Grier School graduation, major holidays, or the month of October during festival season.

Question
Is smoking permitted?
Answer
Stony Point B&B does not allow smoking inside any structure. If quests must smoke outside, they are asked to carefully dispose of their own debris.

Do you provide gift certificates?
Answer
Yes, we are happy to sell gift certificates! They may be purchased over the phone or during your visit.

Question
May I bring my pet?
Answer
While we love animals, we ask that our guests not bring their pets.  We do offer our pets as surrogates for you in the absence of your own.
